About the Role
As an Electrical Engineering Group Supervisor, you’ll manage and support a team of skilled electrical engineers working on diverse and complex projects. You’ll be relied upon for your expertise in work planning, project execution, technical reviews, and process improvement. This hybrid role offers part-time remote flexibility, with three days per week spent on-site in our Houston office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily activities for the electrical engineering team on small to medium-sized projects, or parts of major industrial initiatives.
- Plan staffing needs, assign duties, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide expert input on procurement, technical reviews, and bid evaluations.
- Approve and monitor design documents, calculations, supplier drawings, material specifications, and change orders.
- Mentor, train, and develop team members, ensuring continuous professional growth.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to achieve project objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Uphold high standards in engineering practices, safety, and project documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or at least 14-17 years of progressive engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in engineering systems, design codes, construction practices, and project management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience within engineering teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Skilled in the use of 2D and 3D CAD tools, and modern engineering software.
- Ability to manage complex technical issues, provide solutions, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Prior work in large-scale industrial, process, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
