Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of environmental compliance programs.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk analysis for chemical manufacturing processes.
• Develop and uphold systems for continuous environmental improvement and best practices.
• Analyze data on emissions, waste, and resource usage, and propose actionable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Educate and train internal teams on sustainability and environmental safety protocols.
• Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders to report environmental metrics and incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in environmental management, preferably in the chemical or industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and environmental regulations within Mozambique or Angola.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English and/or Portuguese is preferred.
