Piping Field Engineer – Brownsville, TX, USA (Relocation Opportunity)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of piping engineering activities on-site for a major industrial project.
- Prepare and review construction drawings, sketches, schedules, and temporary facility designs.
- Manage materials procurement, including field purchases, inventory tracking, and coordinating delivery to support project timelines.
- Monitor project quantities, verify field data, and maintain accurate records within project systems.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety by promoting zero-incident culture and ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor and track project quality by supervising inspection, testing, and validation of completed piping works.
- Coordinate and review subcontractor activities, including inspecting and approving contractor submittals and test plans.
- Pursue continuous improvement and foster a culture of learning within the team.
- Act as the system turnover coordinator, ensuring all aspects of system scoping and documentation are captured for successful project completion.
Who We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or at least 12-14 years of strong engineering field experience.
- Expertise in piping engineering for large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and managing complex construction contracts.
- Proficient with project-related software (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases).
- Thorough understanding of Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) standards and industrial best practices.
- Physical fitness to work in typical construction site conditions, including climbing, lifting, working in confined spaces, and in high heat/humidity environments.
