Key Responsibilities & Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Plan and coordinate work for field engineering activities, including preparing construction drawings and supporting project execution.
- Oversee materials management: requisition field purchases, track equipment, and verify quantities using industry-standard systems.
- Support quality and safety by ensuring compliance with strict project standards and Bechtel’s Zero Accident philosophy.
- Provide technical expertise, review inspection and test plans, and approve contractor submissions.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to meet contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements for project completion.
- Assist with system turnover tasks, ensuring readiness for operation and adherence to all technical specifications.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of proven experience in mechanical or piping field engineering OR 9-12 years of relevant work history.
- Strong background in construction engineering, with expertise in mechanical/piping systems. Experience on DOE, DOD, nuclear, or large industrial projects is a plus.
- Well-versed in industry codes, standards, and best practices for safety and quality.
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional environments.
- Eligibility: Must be a US citizen to meet security clearance requirements.
