Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise teams of welding craft professionals on-site.
- Organize daily work schedules, monitor progress, and ensure project timelines are met.
- Assess resource needs, coordinate operational plans, and oversee the use of welding tools and equipment.
- Uphold the highest safety and quality standards, making sure all work complies with design specifications and project policies.
- Collaborate with field engineers and site managers to interpret and implement technical documents and solve engineering challenges.
- Handle material requisitions and maintain inventory for tools and consumables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years’ relevant experience, or 12–14 years of direct industry experience.
- AS1796 Welding Supervisor Certificate 10 required.
- Strong leadership background in the oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors.
- Excellent knowledge of construction safety standards—commitment to Zero Accident Philosophy and project ES&H guidelines.
- Proven ability to plan, analyze, and balance shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs) and computer literate.
- Ability to work onsite under variable shifts and conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and different weather environments.
- Must have Australian working rights (citizens or those with independent visas).
